Well, the answer is yes and no. As a Government organization, it is good to see that BSNL managed to add over 1 million subscribers in about 15 months. But is this good enough? I thought BSNL had a huge early starter advantage and they could have done much better. High speed data would be addictive. They simply could have lured customers to sign by offering freebies ( 3 months of free download upto xGB).
With Airtle planning to launch during Diwali, lets hope the Private operators try to make the most!
I agree with you.. And also why BSNL cudnt get a great start would be 'coz of the equipment cost, I mean handset that supports 3G would cost more and people might be reluctant to get a new hadset for using these 3G services..
